Highlands Music Collective
Highlands Music Collective is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers high-quality, versatile, and dynamic concert programs that engage the region's most accomplished and passionate musicians. Our vision is to encourage young emerging talent, give Australian composers a much-needed platform, and share our great joy of playing chamber music. Since its establishment in 2019 by Artistic Director and violinist Myee Clohessy, the Highlands Music Collective has become the premier chamber music ensemble in the region, dedicated to enriching the lives of our local community.
At the heart of HMCollective's success is our flexible formation, enabling us to feature the great wealth of musical talent in the Highlands. Over the years, we have presented well-loved classical repertoire alongside unknown gems from around the world. We have also introduced our audiences to a rich array of Australian composers, many of whom attend our concerts and are happy to share the inspiration behind their works with our audiences. Our concerts have a relaxed, joyful and welcoming atmosphere, and the programs are designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages. We want you to have a memorable and inspiring concert experience.

The HMCollective Donor Levels below are named after prominent mountains in the Southern Highlands. For instance, Mount Gibraltar, at 863 metres, is a collapsed volcanic core composed of very hard rock called Gibraltar Trachyte. It is the highest point between the Illawarra Coast and the Great Dividing Range and is a prominent feature within the Southern Highlands.
We encourage you to walk all these mountains and stand at their glorious peaks to see the great beauty of our region and beyond. We would love you to join us as we explore our exciting musical journey ahead!
