Highlands Music Collective is a not-for-profit, tax-deductible organisation with charitable status, dedicated to presenting and promoting exceptional musical experiences in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. It is governed by a committee of experienced business and community leaders who are passionate about creating high-quality music events throughout the Southern Highlands.
Artistic Director
Myee Clohessy

Myee Clohessy is the Founder and Artistic Director of Highlands Music Collective Inc. From 2015 to 2023, she served as the Artistic Director of the Bowral Autumn Music Festival, and from 2010 to 2022, she co-founded and performed with the Acacia Quartet, recording 11 albums and collaborating with many of Australia's most prominent soloists and composers.
Clohessy has a rich performing career, including her roles as Assistant Concertmaster of Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and leader of the Arctimus Ensemble in Norway. She has worked with notable ensembles such as the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australian World Orchestra, Australian Brandenburg and Pinchgut Opera.
Her formal education includes a Postgraduate Diploma from the Guildhall School of Music, a Diploma with Distinction from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and L.Mus.A Diploma with Distinction.
Known for her passion for chamber music and supporting Australian composers, Myee aims to inspire through performances, recordings, and her commitment to nurturing young talent in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.
Vice President
Kate Tribe

Kate Tribe has experience in financial services, market and community research, and the arts.
Their career includes a decade at Commonwealth Bank in customer experience, complaint prevention, governance and operations.
Previously, the founder and director of classikON (helping classical and art musicians grow their audience) and Tribe Research (a market and social research supplier).
A visual artist creating contemporary works using improvised hand stitched embroidery.

Treasurer
Miriam Bos

Miriam has always had a combined interest – art and numbers. Having a Masters in Visual Arts, majoring in Sculpture, and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Art Studies, Miriam has continued to exhibit as an installation artist for over 40 years and is passionate about the arts.
Miriam also has extensive experience over decades in accounts and bookkeeping and currently runs her own bookkeeping and BAS Agent business based in the Southern Highlands NSW. Miriam has a Cert IV in Bookkeeping.
Miriam has always had a commitment to community and has volunteered since her teens in various sectors such as Special Olympics for over ten years as a swimming teacher; and with a local public school as their Eco Garden teacher and gardener running school programmes for 9 years.
Having a partner and two children who all play instruments Miriam was introduced to the wonderful world of local music and became the treasurer of Highly Strung (a Highlands String Group) and later treasurer and exhibition assistant for Sculpture at Hill View.
Miriam was very keen to support Highlands Music Collective as treasurer and see a new vibrant organisation grow music in the Southern Highlands.
President
Dr Stephen Barnett

After finishing high school in the Highlands (at Oxley College), Dr Stephen Barnett studied Medicine in Australia and overseas before returning to practice as a GP in 2002.
Stephen is a Director of Highlands General Practice, a Medical Educator, Clinical Associate Professor at Wollongong University and holds a PhD in e-learning for doctors in rural areas. He is a co-founder and Director of Medcast, working on national health professional education programs for government and non-profits.
Stephen is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is an ex-Board member of the Southern Highlands Division of General Practice and of Oxley College where he served for 11 years, including as College Chair from 2020-2023.
Stephen has a passion for regional Australia and the arts. He has three musical children and is married to the lovely local ‘cellist and regular Highlands Music Collective performer Catherine Barnett.

Secretary
Robert Titterton OAM

Robert is a lawyer, with degrees in Commerce, Law and a Master of Arts Management.
He is passionate about classical music in all its forms and has served or is serving on the boards of the Omega Ensemble, the Sydney Youth Orchestras, the Australian Guitar Quartet, the Sydney Art Quartet and the Australian Brandenburg Friends.
His mission in life is to support, nurture and develop the careers of young and youngish professional musicians.
In 2020, he was awarded an OAM for services to music through his ensembles and orchestras work.
