About the event

Oh, how the French adore their lilies! May Day in spring is heralded by flowering lilies of the valley, the Fleur-de-lis is the proud emblem of French royalty and Monet's devotion to paint water lilies are loved worldwide. But, did you know Lili Boulanger was the youngest composer and first female to win the most prestigious French composition prize, the Prix de Rome, at just nineteen-years-old?

Join the Highlands Music Collective for this enchanting concert at the Bowral Memorial Hall on Friday 6 September for an evening of beautiful music, good company, complimentary wine and nibbles.

Mélanie Bonis - Suite Op. 59 for violin, flute, piano 

Gabriel Fauré - 'Sicilienne' for cello and piano 

* Oscar Dunn-Luck - 'Pétales sur l'eau' for flute, violin and cello (world premiere) 

Philip Gaubert - 'Berceuse' pour flute and piano 

Sally Greenaway - 'Le Parc Morceau' for violin, cello and piano 

Léo Delibes - 'Flower Duet' for flute, violin, cello and piano 

Lili Boulanger - 'Le matin d'un printemps' pour violin, cello and piano

* Highlands Music Collective has proudly commissioned talented composer Oscar Dunn-Luck from Moss Vale to write a piece especially for this concert.
